This weekend I went camping in Center City, Minnesota for the Hazeleden Recovery Center's annual music festival put on to show how great life is. The day was filled with people sharing their personal recovery stories and great positive music. Some of the acts included; The Honeydogs, Hippo Campus, Cloud Cult and more. In addition to the festival, we camped two nights at a near by state park which was perfect for watching the stars.
Today I headed over to Uptown to see Bad Bad Hats, Astronautalis, and Babes in Toyland. They all brought their best and got the crowd going.
Rock the Garden this year was a success. It was a hot day on Boom Island but it was a great day with a great line up including; GRRRL PRTY's last show, Hippo Campus, Polica, Chance the Rapper, and more. Enjoy the pics!
This was my second year going to this festival! Soul Asylum was the headliner this year and they definitely brought a great set filled with plenty of classics. Some of the MC's from the WATCH THE STOVE mixtape from hamburger helper also performed. And the night ended off with a huge firework show!
